Changing the name of an LLP involves altering the name of the LLP.

Process Flow

• Check the provisions of the LLP Agreement regarding the procedure for changing the LLP name.
• Convene a meeting of the partners to pass a resolution approving the change of name.
• Apply for name availability and reservation by filing Form LLP-1 (Application for Reservation or Change of Name) with the RoC.
• File Form LLP-5 (Notice for Change of Name) with the RoC within 30 days of the change.
• Pay the applicable filing fee and submit the necessary documents, such as the resolution approving the name change and the proposed new name.
• The RoC will review and process the filing, and upon successful approval, the LLP name will be changed.
