Surrendering DIN is the process of voluntarily giving up the Director Identification Number by a director who no longer wishes to hold the DIN.

Process Flow

• Prepare and file Form DIR-5 (Application for Surrender of DIN) with the MCA.
• Pay the applicable filing fee and submit the necessary documents, such as the surrender request and supporting documents.
• The MCA will review and process the filing, and upon successful approval, the DIN of the director will be surrendered.
